Senior Business Analyst (Contractor)

About The Role 
The Business Analyst (BA) at Seven Peaks plays a vital role in supporting the product development process. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and product management, the BA assists in gathering and analyzing business requirements and contributing to product roadmap development. This role is ideal for a candidate who is eager to learn and grow in the field of business analysis and product development within a dynamic and innovative company.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements Management: Lead the process of gathering, analyzing, and documenting complex business and functional requirements for products and platforms with multiple modules.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct workshops and interviews with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and validate requirements. You will be responsible for clearly documenting these requirements in user stories and business requirement documents.

  • Project Leadership: Actively participate in and lead Agile environments, including participating in and leading sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure project success.

  • Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage product backlogs to ensure that features are delivered in line with stakeholder expectations and business value.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure seamless communication and delivery.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, product management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a senior role within Agile environments, including leading sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.

  • Extensive experience in gathering and documenting complex business and functional requirements for multi-module products and platforms.

  • Skilled in conducting workshops and interviews to elicit requirements and translating them into clear user stories and business requirement documents.

  • Experience working on large, modular enterprise-level projects is essential.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage product backlogs to ensure features are delivered in line with stakeholder expectations.

  • Project Management, Scrum Methodology, or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
